  • General Manager (Ref 401790)

    • Strong Leadership skills:  Entrepreneurial, Strategic, Analytical, Commercially savvy, “Hands on”

    • Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing Background - Manufactured Products

    • TCP $150 – 200K + Vehicle + Super   NEG

    • Location - Brisbane

    • Join a well well-established Australian manufacturing Group - that designs, manufactures (and installs) a range of “made to order” manufactured products and solutions for their customers in varied Australian industry sectors, including building / construction, transport, manufacturing, government and local councils. This is a new position within the Group - and relates to overseeing and leading this re-engineered medium to large-sized restructured business Unit (120+ personnel) within their Group.

    • Reporting to the MD, as GM, you will be responsible for the leadership and future commercial direction of this newly integrated medium sized profit Centre.  You will be required to develop and provide the overall new strategic direction of the business which will entail detailed analysis, and then the continued development, improvement, management growth and profitability of the new business structure, systems, and processes.  Thus, you will be involved in the business’s consolidation (and relocation of businesses into 1 site), co-ordination and control of sales & marketing, design and product development, scheduling, purchasing, finance and administration,  manufacturing, quality, safety, delivery / logistics, installation etc .

    • In leading the new overall restructured business, you will manage and coach the Management team to achieve the company’s overall commercial and business objectives, revenue targets and KPI’s, work strategically as well as “hands on” in the business, training, developing, coaching, and motivating / engaging your team, and fostering a culture encouraging people to take ownership.  In working across all areas of the business you will support all key stakeholders (internal and external), ensure sales and customer service, product quality, DIFOT, OH & S policy, engineering, maintenance & reliability, installations, project management, continuous improvement of all processes and systems including lean manufacturing principles.

    • The ideal Executive will be tertiary qualified and have a proven Profit Centre / General Management background in successfully building on medium to large sized manufacturing & sales operations with “made to order or customized products” [in an end-to-end environment including installation] in the manufacturing / building sector. You will have demonstrated: leading, motivating, influencing and managing proactive and positive teams, building, consolidating, rebuilding and or leveraging new business / commercial opportunities, encouraging a process improvement culture, being “hands on”, entrepreneurial, analytical and strategic, commercially savvy, involvement in new product design and marketing [brand and channel marketing], being well organized with strong project management skills, being computer literate (ie Excel, ERP systems), and enjoy driving and building businesses.  Great opportunity to really influence and use your General Management skills gained in your career to date.  Salary commensurate with experience.
