    •  As BDM, you will be responsible for total sales – including sales revenue, margin, pricing – in QLD and NSW (lesser extent).  This will include (in line with company objectives) further “fine tuning” and developing the business sales and marketing strategy (with the GM) to focus on the Company’s existing business [as well as input on future growth markets / channel, product mix, packaging etc],  and then actively executing this plan. The business has been consistently growing and achieving their sales targets / objectives, and therefore it is important that you continue to build on the success that the previous incumbent has been able to achieve.  A major part of your time will be spent working with the distribution channels including the training and development of Reseller / Distributor partners, involvement in retail / reseller marketing strategy, merchandising etc.  You will also be involved in continuing to increase commercial sales - in particular the project market as it relates to specification of product for large scale projects. 

    •  “Hands on”, and as already stated, you will be involved in calling on a range of customers (Resellers / Distributors, Landscape Architects, Agricultural companies / businesses etc), building relationships and promoting the company / services offering,  preparing quotes / tenders / specification documents, marketing and advertising strategy input, recording information, reporting, etc.  The role requires you to manage a mix of existing accounts as well as developing “new business”.  Some travel will be required in this position.

    •  With a proven track record as a successful BDM, you will have demonstrated being able to develop new markets ie “cold calling” and building new relationships / markets, as well as having a strong Account Management background.   You will have demonstrated achieving sales targets / objectives within a medium to large company environment, specification / tender experience, possess strong communication / negotiation / interpersonal skills, strong presentation skills, be commercially street smart, innovative, strategic and analytical, a good problem solver, resilient, professional and disciplined, and have intermediate level IT skills including Excel and CRM.   Experience gained in:  selling  through the specification process to Architects or Architectural Landscapers, managing Resellers / Distributors, and B2B is required.
