    • Reporting to the National Marketing Manager, and working in a proactive marketing team, as Market Manager, Residential Energy Distribution, you will be responsible for managing a major category to deliver differentiated solutions to their customers and maximize sales and gross profit; ultimately growing their market share.    In doing so, you will identify the areas to grow the business, gain a full understanding of the customer, identify their needs, and develop their value proposition.

    • This is a highly visible role, where you will be out in the field gathering data, analysing, profiling, and identifying trends (including understanding competition offering) and customer opportunities.  By gaining a true understanding of the Residential Energy Distribution segment, you will be able to engage more effectively with this Segment - by providing a more targeted approach to improve customer loyalty and satisfaction to achieve the company’s sales and profit plans.  You will work alongside the company’s sales team assisting in the promotion of the company’s products and services as well as collaborating and influencing senior leaders and cross functional partners. Further, a significant part of your role will involve developing the offering to market ie product development - liaising with Engineers, technical personnel and Overseas Product Managers, working on compliance and regulatory approvals, establishing market pricing, taking to market - working closely with sales and operations (including inventory and logistics), developing training tools, providing technical training and support, attending Industry events etc.

    • To summarise, your responsibilities will include: research, data and analysis work to really understand this major category, product development with Overseas Parent company Engineers and overseas Product Managers, bringing product to market, ensuring their compliance to product standards and installation standards, working on strategic product & marketing campaigns, initiatives, and programs, monitoring competition, reviewing and reporting results.   

    • Ideally you will have:  Tertiary qualifications (Engineering or Business - Marketing) or a strong Technical education (Trade or Engineering in the LV electrical industry), experience in Sales / Business Development and Product Management or Marketing Management for an Electrical Manufacturer.  With 10+ years’ experience in the Electrical Industry in the LV energy distribution sector you will have: excellent product and industry knowledge, Australian and International Electrical Standard knowledge (& related Bodies), Industry Competitor knowledge, a full understanding of the industry value chain, excellent IT skills, strong analytical and numeracy skills, excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills (able to work with a lot of International Stakeholders), the ability to multi-task and project manage, be professional, passionate, energetic, results and customer focused.
