  • Business Analyst / Manager Brisbane based  (Ref 401627)

    • Our client, a national manufacturing Company, continues to strategically grow their manufacturing and distribution (including some installation / construction) business throughout Australia and New Zealand.  Our Clients focus is to continue leveraging their design and manufacturing capability, develop new and innovative products and solutions for their customers across Australia, drive quality and innovation in their market space, and apply commercial strategic initiatives to further enhance their positioning and capabilities in the marketplace.

    • Working closely with the General Manager and collaborating with key Stakeholders across this National business, your focus will be to model the relationship between different business goals and project objectives – typically new business opportunities, new product development, cost increases, revenue management etc.  You will be involved in:  

    • researching and assisting in the collation of financial and business data

    • analysis, financial modeling, reporting for commercial activities within the business

    •  exploring business trends and opportunities [ie market analysis, product costing analysis (from design, production to market), continuous productivity and improvement initiatives, for acquisition purposes or otherwise] 

    • providing insight and analysis on national initiatives,

    • investigating and reviewing processes – looking for areas to develop, enhance and improve

    • general preparation of information as it relates to the company’s continual development, performance, and growth plans 

    • You will ideally demonstrate: 

    • Tertiary qualifications,

    • 5 + years’ experience as a business analyst / business consultant,  and then worked in a Management capacity within a medium to large sized manufacturing Company where you have gained practical “hands on” commercial experience, OR as Business Manager where you have worked in a medium to large sized manufacturing Company in the Building or Industrial Sectors and have demonstrated being able to apply business methodologies to substantiate data and strategy

    • excellent analytical and financial skills having a proven ability to work with large amounts of data and translate information to the business

    • strong communication (including internal consultation) and interpersonal, reporting and presentation skills (including at Board level),

    • advanced IT skills (including Excel, ERP, modelling and process mapping tools) Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies well regarded.

    • advanced research and problem-solving skills

    • project management skills

    •  be proactive, able to self-manage, but most of all be able to apply practical and common-sense solutions, meet timelines, and have a flexible professional attitude of “getting things done”
